CUSTOMS:
+ Duty and Taxes are dictated by each individual country.
+ When items are sent through the post it appears that no Duty is charged unless the package is valued at more than $500.00. This seems to be true for the USA, Australia and some of Europe however there is no real way of knowing for sure who will be charged customs when your order is sent.
+ The rate of Duty varies by country. Taxes are the responsibility of the state and the rate of tax will be the equivalent to the usual sales tax charged in the area that you live.
RETURN POLICY:
+ All sales are final; no returns/refunds.
+ We will repair or replace any defected garment due to workmanship; any problems of this nature must be addressed (via email) within 15 business days of receipt of order.
+ Orders canceled before measurements are received are eligible for credit only. No refunds.
+ Measurements must be received no later than six months of placing an order. After this time, if measurements have not been received the order will be considered void and no cash refund or credit will be given.
SIZING AND MEASUREMENTS:
+ All corsets are constructed to measure 4" to 8" smaller than the natural waist. Greater reductions may be possible depending on size, proportion and training experience.
+ After payment has been processed, you will be emailed a list of custom measurements to fill out and submit to us along with detailed instructions regarding how to take accurate and proper measurements. Record measurements in 1/2" increments, always rounding down to the smaller increment.
+ Please fill in all necessary information as accurately as possible, as the accuracy of your measurements will directly determine the fit of your customized product! We guarantee our work based on the measurements you provide. If something does not fit properly because the measurements you submitted were incorrect, we cannot be held responsible.
+ We now offer fittings which can be performed through the mail. A lightly boned muslin mock up is constructed based on the measurements submitted. This is then tried on by you, marked, pinned and sent back to us to make any adjustments that may be required. A digital photo of the front and back is also helpful in aiding us to craft a proper fit.
+ Customer is required to pay shipping to return fitting; please mark package with a $0 dollar value to avoid customs charges on our end.
+ There is a charge of $50.00 USD for fittings.THE CORSET:
+ All our corsets are made 3 or 4 ply depending on the construction requirements of the chosen style. Outer layer features the fabric of your choice, fused with a stiffening agent and lined in cotton twill. Some designs may host a third interlining of stiff canvas for extra support. All corsets are fully boned using sturdy spring steel and spiral stays. These stays provide the stiffness expected of a well made corset yet allows for a level of comfort and movement even while laced tight. Most of our corsets contain between 14-24 steel bones plus the steel front busk, depending on size and style of the corset. Inside construction features twill waist tape to ensure the corset remains true to it's intended size through continual and frequent use.
+ Each corset laces up the center back through high quality, two-piece grommets centered between steel boning.
+ All the PVC used in our corsets is a high quality, high gloss vinyl that will not stretch or tear & for extra durability is backed with a layer corseting fabric.
THE WEAR AND CARE OF YOUR CORSET:
Lacing
+ Your corset will arrive to you properly laced up the center back.
+ Start by loosening the back laces enough to easily wrap and close the corset around you. Fasten the front busk, starting with the hook in the center close to the waist area. Continue by hooking closed the remaining clasps above and below the waist. Be sure the waist of the corset is sitting properly at your waistline before continuing.
Corsets with no front opening will have two sets of laces, each starting at the top and bottom and meeting in the center at the waist to tie in one large bow.
+ Corsets with a front busk will be laced using one length of ribbon, starting at the top, forming two waist loops at the waist and continuing to the bottom.
+ The upper part of the loop will tighten the lacing above the waist. The lower part of the loop will pull in the lacings from below the waist.
+ Begin by pulling the upper laces, taking up the excess lace into the loops at the waist. Take your time and tighten the laces to pull the slack evenly. Continue in the same manner with the bottom laces. When tightened to the desired constriction, take both waist loops together, give a final pull and squeeze and tie together in one large bow.
It is important for the first few wearings not to cinch the corset completely closed, both corset and your body need time to adjust.Unlacing
+ Always loosen the lacing at the back of your corset before attempting to open the front busk opening. Failure to loosen the laces before opening may cause stress on the busk and stays.
+ To prepare your corset for the next time you wear it, take a damp cloth to the lining and clean off any perspiration that may have formed. Air out your corset in a cool open space, flat and out the sun.
Cleaning
+ Dry clean only!
+ Our corsets are constructed with metal boning and submersion in water should be avoided to prevent rusting of the stays and damage to the fabric.
+ Any dry cleaner experienced with bridal/wedding gowns will be able to provide the best cleaning service for your corset.
+ Treating the corset with some other type of fabric protector may also be a wise solution in preventing damage from stains and spills.
